Red Fort is one of the great historical monument of India and it symbolize the Mughal rule in India. In 1638, Shahjahan decided to move his capital from agra to delhi and hence he started construction of Red fort in 1638. It took 10 years to complete the entire construction. We all know that in construction of this historical building massive red stones were used and at a glance building looks in red color and hence it is named as Red Fort. It is also known as Lal Quila. 

Location: Red Fort is located at bank of Yamuna river in OLD Delhi. 

Main attraction of red fort is its huge wall which is approx 2km long and looks wonderful in red stones. Red fort has two entrance points. One entrance at Delhi gate and other one is at lahore gate. Main entrance point of Red Fort is the Lahore Gate. Ustad humid and Ustad Ahmed was the architect for construction of Red Fort.

Red Fort is must see place of Delhi. Every 15th August and 26th January our country's Prime Minister unfurls Indian Flag and President Of India delivers "Address to the nation". If you plan to visit delhi in future then must include red fort in your list of places to visit in Delhi. There are many places like India Gate , Lotus Temple National Zoological park, Akshardham Temple and Lodi Garden which you can visit in Delhi.
